Welcome to my website
I am Farzana Rahmat Zaki. I completed my Ph.D. studies in Electrical Engineering in 2019 from Helen and John C. Hartmann Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, USA. Prior to this, I received my M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2006 and 2013, respectively.
I joined as a Lecturer in the department of Electrical Engineering of Eastern University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007 and then I was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2009 and Assistant Professor in 2014 and worked in Eastern University for 8.5 years from 2007 – 2015. During my Ph. D. studies, I worked as a graduate researcher in Bio-photonics imaging and sensing lab of NJIT from 2015 – 2019. I also worked as a teaching assistant in the ECE department of NJIT from 20016 – 2019.
My research interests include bio-photonics and medical imaging techniques specifically, Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and functional OCT (Doppler OCT, Optical coherence elastography), biomedical optics, optical image processing. I have almost 4 years of research experiences in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT), functional optical coherence tomography (Doppler OCT and optical coherence elastography).
Currently, I am looking for full time research scientist/postdoctoral research position in the fields of biomedical imaging and signal processing.
